President of the European Central Bank, Mario Draghi, presented a series of banknotes € 5. The presentation was the highlight of the opening of the “new face of the euro,” which you can visit the Archaeological Museum in Frankfurt am Main from 11 January to 10 March 2013.
New project € 5 banknote is the result of advances in technology since the first series for over ten years, and includes new and enhanced security. Watermarks and holograms show a portrait of Europe, a character from Greek mythology, which gives its name to the series of banknotes. Astonishing “emerald green number” changes its color from emerald green to dark blue, producing brilliance that moves vertically.
